Aerial Filming Permissions

T.I.M. plans professional drone flights around EASA rules, EU Specific operations, ILT requirements, local airspace limits, privacy, crew communication and the permissions needed for each location.

EASA, EU Specific and ILT workflow

Professional drone shoots are planned against the EASA framework. If a flight cannot stay within Open category limits, T.I.M. Drone Company operates under EASA Specific when required, with the right operational preparation, risk assessment, crew setup and ILT authorisation route in place.

EASA Specific operations

When a production needs more than Open category allows, T.I.M. flies under EASA Specific where necessary. That means the location, airspace, operational limitations, documentation and any local permissions are checked before the flight is accepted.

Amsterdam air traffic coordination

In Amsterdam, current air traffic coordination only allows one coordinated drone team or operator in the air at a time. Multiple drones can be possible within one coordinated operation, but not multiple separate operators or teams flying at the same time.

Checks

EASA category, ILT route, airspace, local permissions, crew setup and operational limitations.

EASA Specific

When a production needs more than Open category allows, T.I.M. flies under EASA Specific where necessary.

Client value

A clearer answer early in pre-production about what can be flown, what needs permission and how the operation should be prepared.
