Strong aerial footage starts with a realistic location risk analysis. T.I.M. assesses ground risk, airspace limitations, people, roads, water, buildings and production conditions, then looks at the mitigating measures that can make the shot possible.
Before a drone shot is confirmed, the location is reviewed for EASA Open or EASA Specific fit, airspace limitations, ground risk, nearby people, traffic, water, buildings, events and privacy-sensitive areas. This gives the production a clear view of what is possible before the shoot is locked.
A challenging location does not always mean the shot is impossible. Risk can often be reduced with measures such as controlled take-off and landing areas, spotters, adjusted timing, reduced flight height, alternative routing, clear crew communication, separation from uninvolved people and coordination with the location or local authorities.
When the risk profile is understood early, the shot can often be adapted instead of removed. T.I.M. helps production teams find a safe and workable version of the idea, including EASA Specific preparation where necessary.
